Scientists have found increased rates of bladder cancer and other health problems (like respiratory and other breathing problems) for salon workers, hair stylists, barbers, and hair colorists who use professional-grade hair dyes. Unlike the hair dyes you can buy at the store, hair dyes used at salons often include toxic and carcinogenic substances. Beauty industry workers—who get exposed to these chemicals day-in and day-out—are at much higher risk for cancer, especially bladder cancer.
If you think you are a victim of toxic hair dyes, call me any time to talk about your situation, how you’re doing, and what your options might be. When companies know they are poisoning us and we get sick, the law often provides a remedy. If you’ve been sickened by toxic chemicals and are fighting for your life, no amount of money will ever make you whole. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t fight for what you are owed.
If this describes your experience at all, I would be very happy to talk to you about what happened, how you’re doing, and what may be possible for you under the law.
